Exhausted and Working Out

I have been struggling to write lately. Work has been overwhelming and by the time I get home I am too exhausted to do anything. Only 3 more weeks of madness and then hopefully a break. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy what I do but damn if the work isn't piling on at times.

To combat the madness... I have started a workout routine. Its only been 3 days but I am proud of my self that I have stuck to it this week. I started the Hip-Hop Abs. Every time I start it I want to give up after 5 minutes, but what I like about his routines is you get a little break before the next segment... still, moving just a bit easier of a move. This girl needs that in order to continue.... catch that breath you know?! HA!

You see, ever since I was a teenager I struggled with my weight and finding that healthy balance. I grew up chubby and then in high school; overweight. I never felt pretty or good enough and I never got the praise from my parents that I was  doing a good job. Thus started the inevitable.... coping with food. Its not an excuse and I don't blame my parents. Its just I created a bad habit and now I am focused on breaking that bad habit.

This week I made a goal to workout at least 6 days a week for 30 minutes each day. I am hoping to carry this on for the next month in hopes I can create a new habit. Then after that I want to find new workouts and go play tennis after work that I put off all the time....

The goal this next month is health and more on the physical side and getting this body moving. Any tips or words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated. :)
